Curriculum Consulting & Evaluation
We partner with educational organizations by providing them with consultation and evaluation services to support their successful implementation of high-quality instructional materials (HQIMs) for students from underserved communities.
A Partnership Providing Curriculum Implementation Services
Since 2024, Realized Curriculum Solutions' founder and CEO, Leroy Smith, M.Ed., provided curriculum consulting services to the mathematics educators at Patterson Park Public Charter School as a Math Instructional Coach. During this partnership, Leroy worked with Kindergarten through 8th grade mathematics educators to successfully implement the Eureka Math Squared curriculum during their second year of implementation. Leroy supported the school leadership team with strategic planning for a culturally relevant and accessible mathematics program at their public charter school since they have a large population of multilingual learners, students of color, and neurodivergent learners.
We developed a math instructional coaching model for planning, observation, data analysis, and intervention evaluation for students receiving tier 2 academic interventions. Additionally, we developed and delivered professional development workshops on teaching mathematical vocabulary to multilingual learners and neurodivergent learners, small group instruction, teaching students evidence-based strategies to solve word problems, and modeling mathematics using manipulatives and visualizations.

A Partnership Providing Caregivers with Advocacy Resources
In 2022, Realized Curriculum Solutions' founder and CEO, Leroy Smith, M.Ed., became a consulting partner with Innovageous, based in Pennsylvania, to support them with developing a resource guide for families with advocating for their children in schools in Rhode Island. Leroy supported the founding partners of Innovageous with creating a culturally relevant and accessible resource guide for families receiving services from Families in Action Rhode Island to equip them with skills to effectively advocate for their children's educational needs.
Our partnership equipped families of students from underserved communities with skills to address concerns with their children's school-based staff related to academics and social-emotional development. We designed a concise and informative resource guide for evidence-based strategies for families to use to bring up concerns with their children's school-based staff.
